Dave’s call to ministry came after over 30 years as a business owner and public servant in York, Nebraska. He began in ministry as the associate director of a gospel rescue mission, and then as the lead pastor of New Life Church of the Nazarene in York. Dave and Jamie received the call to come to Yuma in August of 2020, and are honored and privileged to serve the Lord with the people of Yuma First Church of the Nazarene.
Dave’s walk with the Lord began with a dramatic spiritual rescue in 2003. Having experienced the mighty power and love of God, God put an ache in his heart for the struggling, hurting and the lost. It is his deepest desire to lead them to victory in Jesus and empower continued growth through discipleship, teaching, preaching, and simply through the love of Christ. Pastor Dave is a caring shepherd of those God has given him to protect, guide, grow and love. His ministry focus is on building closer relationships between us, God and others.
Second only to Christ, his wife Jamie (aka Sweetie) is his greatest love. Collectively, their joys are found in their daughters as well as their daughters’ husbands and their grandchildren.
